Program Overview
The Kraken Elite program is designed for dedicated youth athletes who want to elevate their water polo skills in a focused, high-energy training environment. This one-hour session emphasizes advanced fundamentals, tactical awareness, and conditioning appropriate for experienced players.
All sessions listed under “ALL SESSIONS Kraken Elite 3:00pm–4:00pm” follow a consistent training structure and coaching philosophy to support long-term player development.
Who This Program Is For
This program is best suited for:
- Youth athletes with prior water polo experience
- Players who are comfortable in deep water and can continuously swim laps
- Athletes interested in competing at a higher level with strong commitment to improving skills, fitness, and game IQ

Training Focus
Each 3:00 pm–4:00 pm session is structured to maximize in-water time and individual attention. Training typically includes:
- Warm-Up & Conditioning – Swimming sets, leg strength, and endurance work tailored for water polo.
- Technical Skills – Ball handling, passing, shooting, and position-specific skills.
- Tactical Development – Offensive and defensive systems, counterattack, and game situations.
- Scrimmages & Drills – Controlled scrimmages, small-sided games, and decision-making under pressure.
Schedule & Attendance
All Kraken Elite sessions in this time block run from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Please arrive early enough to be ready on deck before the start of practice so athletes can make full use of the scheduled training time.
Regular attendance is strongly encouraged to support consistent skill development, team chemistry, and player confidence in the water.
What Athletes Should Bring
- Swimsuit suitable for water polo
- Water polo cap (if provided by the club or team)
- Goggles (optional, typically used for swim sets only)
- Water bottle (labeled with athlete’s name)
- Towel, sandals, and warm clothing for after practice
Safety & Supervision
Athlete safety is our top priority. All sessions are supervised by qualified coaching staff and follow facility safety guidelines. We maintain an environment that emphasizes respect, sportsmanship, and positive team culture at all times.
Registration & Eligibility
Participation in the ALL SESSIONS Kraken Elite 3:00 pm–4:00 pm program requires registration through Elk Grove Kraken Water Polo Club. Space may be limited to maintain quality instruction and safe athlete-to-coach ratios.
