11/7 Kraken Ball – Ages 6–8 (2:00 pm – 2:50 pm)

Join us for a fun and engaging introduction to water polo with Elk Grove Kraken Water Polo Club. This Kraken Ball session is designed specifically for young athletes ages 6–8 who are new to the sport or building their basic skills in a safe, supportive environment.

Age Group: 6–8 years old

Location: Wackford Aquatic Complex

This 50-minute recreational session focuses on water confidence, movement in the water, and basic water polo skills through games and age-appropriate drills. No prior water polo experience is required.

Who This Session Is For

• Children ages 6–8 who are comfortable in the water and eager to be active.
• Families looking for a fun, non-competitive introduction to water polo.
• New athletes interested in building water skills, coordination, and confidence.

What to Expect

Our coaches create a positive, encouraging environment where young athletes can learn and have fun. Each session typically includes:

• Warm-up and water safety reminders.
• Introductory ball-handling and passing skills.
• Basic shooting and movement games.
• Small-group activities tailored to experience level.

The emphasis is on fun, teamwork, and building a love for being in the water, while gradually introducing the foundations of water polo.

Skill & Safety Requirements

• Participants should be comfortable in the shallow end of the pool.
• Basic swimming ability is recommended; flotation devices may be used if allowed by facility rules.
• Lifeguards and coaches will be on deck to support a safe learning environment.

What to Bring

• Swimsuit (athletic fit recommended).
• Towel and dry clothes for after practice.
• Swim goggles (optional but recommended).
• Water bottle labeled with your child’s name.
• Swim cap for long hair (optional but helpful).
