10/17 Kraken Elite – Ages 12–14 (3:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

Join Elk Grove Kraken Water Polo Club for our Kraken Elite training session designed specifically for motivated athletes ages 12–14. This focused, one-hour practice offers advanced skill development, high-energy drills, and a positive, challenging environment for young water polo players.

Who This Session Is For

This session is ideal for athletes who:

• Are 12–14 years old with some or no experience
• Enjoy team sports, competition, and working hard in the water
• May be interested in playing competitively in the future

What Athletes Will Work On

Our Kraken Elite session focuses on building strong fundamentals while introducing higher-level concepts in a fun, challenging format.

Skill Development

• Ball handling: passing, catching, and shooting with accuracy
• Eggbeater kick and leg strength for better stability and power
• Offensive and defensive positioning
• Transition swimming and conditioning

Game Awareness

• Basic offensive systems and movement without the ball
• Defensive communication and teamwork
• Decision-making under pressure

What to Bring

• Swimsuit (one-piece recommended for athletes)
• Goggles (optional but recommended for swimming sets)
• Water bottle (labeled with athlete’s name)
• Towel and dry clothes for after practice
• Cap and club gear if already a member of Kraken
