Join Elk Grove Kraken Water Polo Club for a focused, high-energy Elite training session designed for motivated athletes ages 12–14. This practice is geared toward beginners and players who are ready to take their skills, conditioning, and game understanding to the next level in a fun, supportive environment.

Who This Session Is For

This Elite practice is intended for boys and girls ages 12–14 who:

• Have no prior experience
• Have prior water polo and/or competitive swim experience
• Are eager to improve skills, decision-making, and game tactics
• Enjoy training in a positive, team-focused environment

What to Expect

Athletes will participate in a fast-paced practice that emphasizes:

• Technical Skills: passing, shooting, ball handling, and position-specific techniques
• Game Situations: small-sided scrimmages, counter-attack drills, and defensive systems
• Conditioning: water polo-specific swimming, leg strength, and endurance work
• Team Concepts: communication, awareness, and smart decision-making under pressure

Our coaches focus on clear instruction, constructive feedback, and building confidence in every athlete.

What to Bring

• Swimsuit (one-piece recommended for girls; secure fit for all athletes)
• Goggles (optional but recommended for warm-up swimming)
• Water bottle (labeled with athlete’s name)
• Towel and dry clothing for after practice
• Swim cap (optional)

Registration and Check-In

Advance registration is required. Please register through the Elk Grove Kraken Water Polo Club system prior to arrival. Space may be limited to ensure a quality coach-to-athlete ratio.

Athletes should arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in, get caps if needed, and be ready to enter the water at 3:00 PM.

Safety and Supervision

Player safety is our top priority. All sessions are supervised by experienced coaches and held at facilities with trained lifeguards on duty. Athletes must follow all pool rules and coach instructions at all times.
