9/19 Kraken Ball – Ages 6–8 2:00pm-2:50pm

Welcome to Kraken Ball, a fun and introductory water polo experience for our youngest athletes at Elk Grove Kraken Water Polo Club! This session is designed for boys and girls ages 6–8 who are ready to learn, play, and have a great time in the pool in a safe and supportive environment.

Program: Kraken Ball (Ages 6–8)

Our 9/19 Kraken Ball session focuses on basic water skills, confidence in the water, and simple water polo concepts. Practices are fun and game-based, introducing kids to teamwork, passing, movement in the water, and shooting on goal.

Who This Program Is For

Kraken Ball is ideal for young athletes who:

• Are between 6 and 8 years old
• Are comfortable in the shallow end of the pool
• Want a fun and low-pressure introduction to water polo
• Enjoy group activities and learning new skills

No prior water polo experience is required. Basic water comfort and the ability to follow simple instructions are recommended.

What Athletes Will Learn

• Fundamental water skills and water safety awareness
• How to hold, pass, and catch a water polo ball
• Introduction to shooting and scoring
• Simple game rules and basic positions
• Teamwork, sportsmanship, and having fun in a team setting

Coaching and Safety

Elk Grove Kraken Water Polo Club is committed to providing a safe, positive experience for every participant. Our coaches are experienced in working with young athletes and focus on:
